#NaPoWriMo Dark love burning bright, Firefly fluttering at night, A luminescent beautiful hope, Climbing lifes slippery slope.

You want to judge me? Walk a mile in my shoes, You wanna sing the blues? Walk a mile in my shoes. Pick up on my passive aggressive cues? Walk a mile in my shoes. Get eaten by grues? Walk a mile in my shoes. (Kudos to anyone that gets the grues line)

Having a 5 year old with us for 2 weeks has put a dent in my NaPoWriMo ambitions but has also brought me joy. Here's something I managed this morning: Stranger than kindness? Spoke the musician, As if the concept were weird, Sometimes it seems the way, As I watch the news, I observe the scowls every day, People ground down by life, Then I see the sun through the clouds, I see kids smiling, I see the birds flying with joy, Everything is ok again.

A dip in the rivers of life, Away from troubles & strife, A relaxing weekend away, A chance for rest and play,

A comfort eternal, A bracelet of words, Time away from the herds, A spiritual solace, A balm for my anxiety, You.

Nature's rhythmic refrain, Magic in the rain, Caught without a coat again, Laughing as I'm caught, Once more I'm severely taught, That Gaia does as she will, I'll probably catch a chill.

#NaPoWriMo The poem will be bloody quick, Dear reader do not be worried, That my words are so hurried, The poem will not be bold, I'm looking after a 5 year old!

In the Psychedelic Forest In the psychedelic forest, I wandered looking for my id, I searched beneath purple rocks, I asked a turquoise fox, Where was my sense of self, Had I left it home on the shelf? I weaved between dayglow trees, I asked the honey bees, In the end it was in my pocket.

Walking - Day 2 The majestic highlands a blanket beneath my feet, Patches of heather dot the hillside, Rain batters down turning into sleet, I take in the air and look around wide eyed, I stop long enough to send a quick tweet, This countryside so gorgeous I could have cried, Nearby I hear a goat bleat, I see a pub in the distance and speed up my stride.

#napowrimo Forever is a long time, I'll make this poem rhyme, A month of poems to hone my craft, Some will be serious some daft, Nature could be a theme, Or the latest Will Smith meme, Maybe even terrible war, Or my cat that I adore.
