And how would you spot a poet just creating poetry for fame?

It was hard for me to spot poets realism,since its as if they're making quotes and not poetry.

I love to think that comes from maturity and understanding who they really are as poets.

To point where poet isn't half of you,its all of you in transparency.

@Bendy Nguyen As with any monetizable trend, you get the trailblazers (Nikita Gill, Rupi Kaur, Atticus, RH Sin) and then you get the people that are a pale imitation. Honestly, half the time what they post doesn't really have any point as a statement, let along micro poetry, It's the accounts that are more focused on the aesthetic of poetry than the substance. In terms of filtering through to the good stuff, I think it's really about that feeling you get when you read someone's work. There are viral poets on IG that when I read their posts, I feel absolutely nothing. It reads like it's just a random thought they've thrown out to appease the algorithm, rather than a carefully thought out, worked and reworked piece of art. But that's not to say that every poet I don't connect with I see as fame hungry. For example, while Rupi Kaur's work isn't to my taste, I appreciate she does put a lot of herself into her poems. It's not empty words thrown onto a page, they're just not words that speak to me, personally. And actually, I don't think I'm her target audience. Whereas Margaret Atwood's poetry is something I see hardly anyone talking about online, but I really enjoy her writing style.

@Willigsecker Martin Most definitely,figurative language differentiate a written poem and greatly written poem.

With linear theres simple structure to follow.

Although,do understand sometimes can be hard to put thoughts on paper.

I love to think of reasons,yet most valuable reasons are from first person.

Without purpose there's no point in a poem being created.
