Hello Covers
Reaching out because I came up with cool ideas about something poetry related.
Poetry Blog:A blog where beginners can come in and learn how to write poetry.
As I've been writing poetry for last 7 years, and I figure a blog where I would talk about different kinds of poems and how I go about writing poetry would be fun for me and educational for others.
Poetry podcast:Same idea, but with some performance mix in.Meaning,I would share some of my experiences as performing arts poet and also share poems at the end of podcast. Also social commentary,as too whats going on with poetry community.
What do you think about these ideas?
Or do you have any better ideas about either blog or podcast?
I will most likely do both, but poets input is much appreciated.
I like the idea of a poetry blog for beginners; it could also be a platform where poets can track their progress over time (presumably, their first poems won't be their strongest pieces but they'll be able to compare them to their more recent works and hopefully see colossal improvement!) It would also be a great opportunity for people to start connecting with other poets and throwing inspiration at each other's way. The more info one is exposed to, the more creative one becomes. Poets will end up writing about topics and writing in styles they once never would have considered writing.
A poetry blog for children and teenagers is also another thing. They are our most impressionable artists, so it would be fantastic to expose them to as many resources and offer as much guidance as possible. But since you'd be working with children, that comes with a plethora of conditions you would need to consider.
