Welcome home!
At The Poetry Cove Forum, we are dedicated to bringing together poets from all over the world. We believe that poetry can be a powerful tool for connection and community, and we want you to have a place where you can explore your craft in an environment that is friendly, welcoming, and supportive.
We are committed to providing this space for you because we believe that everyone deserves a chance to express themselves creatively and share their work with others who share their interests.
We hope you will join us in creating an open-minded, accepting, and supportive community of people who can help each other grow as poets.
I watched a fantastic film called Before Night Falls which is just superb! It is centred around the Cuban poet Reinaldo Arenas! And absolute must!
It's an art house film, and has sensitive subjects such as abuse (both physical and emotional), homophobia, and doesn't hold back with it's sexual content... but what an extraordinary tale. I watched this and bought Arenas' life's work!
Another absolute joy of a film I saw recently was Hippopotamus, written by Stephen Fry. It like a Who done it? / investigative comedy about a poet looking into a secret miracle! Very light hearted and filled with Fry's typical humour!
Finally, and most recently, I bought a copy of All is True whilst I was in Stratford back in September! Another wonderful watch, but I am a huge Shakespeare buff so maybe I was just bias. I would say it is worth checking out though!
