I know of plent of examples of poetry displayed with images, easy to do layouts those. But do people have examples of poetry displayed over images? I have written a poem for a mate as a gift and am displaying it over an image to have a poster board made for him for his office. I have a couple things I've tried but unsure if its the best way to go about it.
I would love to see examples if anyone has come across good displays.
I am useless with Images, I am learning a lot responses
I think it can be wonderful, a subscriber sent me a Halloween package last year and in it was a print of Poe’s The Raven. I will attach a photo.
My advice would be grab a free Canva account. Make the background black, then play with the opacity of the image so it is slightly faded. Then put the text over it. If you don’t want to dim the image, Canva also has an effect now for text where you can give the letters a solid colour outline which will help you separate the poem from the image and help with readability.
Otherwise what a wonderful gift, please keep us updated and send a photo of the poster once it’s on his wall! 🤘
That's a good question. Most of my posts on Instagram are over images. Finding the balance of light and dark can be a challenge. These are both AI-generated images.
