Day 4 Prompt. James Scott Bell in his book How to Write Short Stories discusses the shattering moment upon which the story turns. That moment is in one of 5 places: 1. Before the story starts, leading to the events in the story 2. At the beginning of the story
3. In the middle of the story
4. At the end of the story 5. After the story ends. Todays prompt: Write a poem about a time when love transformed a difficult situation.
Emily faced the hardest time of her life. The cold of winter felt nothing to her growing numbness.
Her father, once vibrant and strong, lay in a hospital bed, his life fading like the last autumn leaves.
Emily's world was shrouded in sorrow until she discovered her mother's poems she'd written about their love. Each verse spoke of shared moments, laughter, and unspoken promises.
One evening, Emily read a poem aloud, and her father's eyes filled with tears. The room, heavy with grief, lightened.
