DAY 12
"Playlist Poem"
Open your favourite music app. Shuffle or scroll randomly. Use the title of the first song you see as your poem’s title or first line.
The song: Chosen at random the song to inspire, If Jesus Saw What We Did Last Night, by Cloudy June. The first line is the title. And yes, this song is about what you are thinking it's about. LOL
Since Tanka were a poetry form with a history of lovers using it to communicate, I decided to write a series of tankas as through from two characters. I'm not sure I pulled it off, but it was fun to try. Let me know what you think this is about. I would like to know if it is easily seen. (Note: There may be mistakes, I am finishing this at 2am. LOL)
Title: Sins to Control
Will you come to me
in the silence of dark night
as far clouds gather
rain's scent tells of fate's approach
come with storm's heat under wings
With storm's heat within
I descend to your body
will you rise from earth
will you be the sin I crave
for you, I will come in dark
Under the tree's reach
bridging heaven and earth's love
I will greet this gale
with storms touch of you I wait
heaven before me, earth yields
Fingers touch on skin
wind's heat of storm's power speaks
with rain’s fall, earth moves
lightening within bodies
slow waves of thunder sins break
With lightenings kiss
rain's tastes on lips gasp runs deep
limbs contorte above
fated touch of destiny
With earth's quake, we move souls tied
I hold you, arms tight
wings wrap our bodies as one
earth’s pulse within us
storm builds as limbs intertwine
lightening blinds storm’s release
On wings of heaven
we decent on waves thunder
with calming of storm's
silence returns with soft breath
limbs fused with heavens passions
Slow waves of wild wind
like rain's final drops linger
soft kiss of after
with sins chains broken to dust
will your love remain for me
With sins binds broken
we are of earth and heaven
I will hold you close
you are the one I worship
my love remains part of you
Leaves flutter above
grasses twist as earth shifts slow
air turns damp with dew
grip tighten as bodies move
the storm builds with passion's gaze
