Hello everyone! I know we have a lot of general discussion going on as of late, but I thought it'd be nice if we took a look at our favorite scenes from film.
I'll start by sharing this scene from When Harry Met Sally.
Okay... so it was a play on words, but this is by far my favorite characters in the film. His ridiculously narcissistic attitude matched with his delightfully humorous wit. Harry is by and large the perfect cynic I've ever seen, and matches the offbeat & dark personality of nearly every writer in existence. 🤣
This movie is one of my favourite Robin Williams films (I miss him so much!) And this scene is so amazing.
I've been trying to figure out my favourite Star Wars scene but I think it's here which leads into my favourite Leia line 'Someone's got to save our skins' (though I couldn't find a clip of that
I've thought about this question for days, Ken, but I'm probably still missing some really good scenes which are not coming to me right now. Regardless, here is what I could come up with:
This moment of realisation in L.A Confidential (which contains a spoiler) The moment i'm referring to begins around 3:11 and if you've seen the film, you'll know exactly what I'm taking about:
Stepbrothers is so hilarious, it has two iconic dinner scenes (also *kinda* contains spoilers but not really...?)
Marlon Brando in Apocalypse Now, possibly one of the greatest performances in cinematic history:
Very honourable mention to this glorious piece of crap:
And I think we've all felt like Jo from Little Women at some point in our lives...
Lynch smashes your mind with this scene from Lost Highway
There are so many amazing scenes from the film, but the very last one is a standout for me!
Withnail and I has so many amazing scenes but this is my favourite. Out of work actors in London degenerate so much they end up drinking lighter fluid!
