I just finished writing a poetry discussion post about names in poetry. But let's talk about our own names.
I don't know about other countries but in England, I can pay, fill out a bunch of paperwork, and change my name to Princess Tree Oreo if I wanted to. Think Phoebe from that episode of Friends when she's supposed to change her name after she's married.
So, yes, it's possible that I can change my name. So I suppose my real question is: if you were going to change your name, what would you change it to?
I'm happy as Rachel. I feel like it's me. I enjoy being called Rach or Rae. It all feels like me. However, in my A Level Philosophy class, there were four Rachels which I think is a bit much. I don't have a specific name in mind that I would choose. I always loved the name Rosie when I was little but I don't think that's me. I've been very drawn to the name Nova recently (it means 'new' apparently and I feel like that's fitting) and Leia (because Princess Leia is just goals). Maybe Nova Leia.
I'm rambling again. But what would you change your name to?
@Adam Gary
Figure this would be more accurate!!!!!!
