Poetry Cove Appreciation Post

As some of you poetry covers might know,I receive a badge that saids "Member of the Month". I remember stumbling across Adam Gary poetry reviews and from what I can tell he's poetically knowledgeable.

Honestly,when it was announced on his channel,I join as fast as I could,since I was looking for something like this since start of my poetry journey.

However,what I receive was alot more.

Within last 5 to 6 months,I did alot of Firsts.

NaPoWriMo,forum posts,participated in discussions,recorded poetry for radio station and first in 2 years:Participated in poetry open mic,although first virtual one,and posted back on Instagram,even though I wanted off social media,well,I was encouraged to post on Instagram again.

Heck,I've been using poetry cove gifs on my stories,although,I will post more than instagram stories,to see how far I'm willing to go off deep end.

Funny,I was looking forward to day I left poetry,since focus was to profit from passion.

Not creating meaningful work and thought my best works were left behind me.

However,I think what made this 7th year so much more enjoyable is I'm FINALLY having fun again.First time having fun was well first year,find first year of anything is the most fun times,given how new everything feels.

As much as I enjoy being apart of poetry cove and contribute in any way I can,I'm creating space,letting go of previous travel road and walk as a journeypoet.Have fun,be creative and do whats important in current paradigm.

In addition to Adam Gary,I have all of you lovely Covers to thank.Whats old is now NEW again,thanks to your care,passion and love for poetry.

Most interesting thing is,its only the beginning.Look forward toward future for poetry and being apart of the Cove for as long as I can.
