If nor embarrassing, feel free to use any other adjective describing a moment.
Might not be embarrassing,however,annoying.
Long story short,me and a old friend of mine went on a date.
After a very bazaar start(feel free to guess how it all started)
And I arrive first. An hour earlier before my date, since people love guys who are first.
Even back then,I still thought this way.
The date arrives ANNNNNNNNDDDDDDDD
Becomes unappreciated.
No clue why???
Was it because I wore a black t-shirt and khaki shorts???
We were on a friendship, not relationship.
Maybe because I'm boring.
After all I only talk about life, poetry and dreams never realize.Even now I'm still like this.
Hell,is it because we both pay for our own tickets and I didn't pay for my dates???
Okay, okay I can see how that be a HUGE turnoff.
Anyway,in the end,it was actually one of the WORST days I had.
My date ain't the reason why, they were cool.
And they were just trying to make me happy.
Its worst mainly because I could have use that time productively.
At least I had an awesome UBER ride home via a conversation.
I'm not cut out for dating, relationships and from that day on,I'm FOREVER OFF THE MARKET.....AND DAMN PROUD OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!
So,Covers, feel free to share,if you dare.
My 2nd date with Cath my wife, it was a lovely sunny day in the heatwave of 1987 and we walked to the local Duckpond and having a picnic! Bag of crisps and a can of coke and I was laying on the grass trying to look cool in my new white slazenger t-shirt. When we stood up we realised I'd been laying in Goose shit and had massive stains on my shirt!! I'm lucky it didn't put her off me.
@Bendy Nguyen It was that t shirt/ short combo bro, for sure
So first date and we are walking down the street and I'm acting cool and funny paying her loads of attention then I look around and crash into a lamp post nearly KO myself
Oh, and there was a time I evidently wasn't in the right state of mind and went back to a guy's place, and ended up crying about my ex, lmao. Nothing happened between us which was fortunate but he cooked dinner to comfort me which was very kind (and he was also a chef so the food was good!)
Not as embarrassing as it should have been, but after a devastating break up a few years ago, I went on a date with a guy I sensed I'd get along great with. We matched on Tinder (of course) and met up for coffee at my local bar. Turns out he just got out of a devastating break up too and we bonded really well! We both sensed there was no romantic chemistry between us but we chatted away and bonded like pals. Back in the day, I was a casual smoker and lit up a few ciggies after around 2-3 coffees... on an empty stomach. After the date, we parted ways, and I ended up vomiting in an alleyway, lol. I went to text him about this, and noticed I received a message from him first saying he had his fly undone the entire date, and that he was sorry about that but only he just realised.
4 years later, we're still great friends.
I have a fair few, some that are a bit inappropriate for the forum, but one I can share is when I went on a movie date with a girl I had just met and they were completely quiet the entire time except to say hi and to say bye. She even bought my movie ticket before I got there which was strange, but I thanked her for the gesture. I offered to pay her back by buying the snacks and drinks, but she kindly refused. I'm not used to having my date buy stuff for me. I usually go by the 50/50 rule. But back to the no talking bit, every time I attempted to start a conversation she'd respond hardly at all and in some cases wouldn't say anything. Then what made it worse, I never heard from her again after that night despite being told she'd message me. 🙄
When she didn't turn up...
😂
I don't have anything super embarrassing but here is mine. The date had nearly ended and I walked her to the train station, and as you do I went in for a hug, but my watch got caught in my jacket pocket and I ended up giving my date an awkward one-handed hug.... 😂
