Think this is an interesting topic.
I would like to think we create inspiration,as its something more active.
Where as waiting is alot more passive.
Inspiration,if we take time to look,is everywhere. And so I think we create way more than wait.Although, sometimes we do wait and base from my experiences, that comes from being in a crappy situation.Which probably is where that whole "Eureka" moment, comes from.
Inspiration as long as its intrinsic, can be powerful tool to utilize.
What do you lovely Covers think???
For me, inspiration comes from so many places: A thought, an emotion, something seen, heard, touched, or tasted. I think life is my muse. I want to be a more disciplined write; however, I let my day job take over way more than it should. When this happens, I feel more like a human doing (great phrase -but I heard it somewhere - I wish I had made it up). Anyway when I make myself stop, pause, breathe, then the inspiration comes - sometimes as writing ideas, sometimes as words, and even phrases. I try to appreciate all of the above and the gratifude nurtures my creativity as well. : )
To my fellow writers... Writing is tough. Man oh man is it tough!!! The best advice i've had is sit down as if a gun were placed to your head AND JUST WRITE. Work solidly, get up and take a breath, I think thats the "Eureka" moment. When your morning brain has time to catch up with your afternoon brain.
Tough one. Maybe a combination of both?
