Film has been my most recent passion. It lets me reach a deeper emotion that I find trouble writing. It's helps me stay grounded in my surroundings. These are my favorite shots this month along with a poem I wrote for it. Let me know what you think of both!
Over the Hill
I'm headed over the hill.
This place holds every corner I've sat in
with my hands sprung to shield.
Time to meet the uncertain curves
of each mind of every other town,
because you can only learn more when there is nothing left to tell.
I want to find the answers with out rushing into a soul that is not mine.
Like those thieving hugs that have left me to never sail.
These are amazing,Chris!!!!!
Keep up with the inspiration and,
along with being an inspiration, keep us posted on your film photography journey.
"This place holds every corner I've sat in". Beautiful line. It feels like you've spent a lot of time here.
I enjoy 35mm photography, but it's never inspired any of my poetry- perhaps I will open my third-eye to it and see what I come up with.
Wow! Stunning! You should share these and more to the other hobbies thread: https://www.thepoetrycove.com/forum/general-discussion/the-other-hobbies-thread
I hope you keep this up. Seeing images of what has inspired poetry is really neat.
