Hey Covers I totally love live music and collect vinyl
My favourite band is The Last Internationale
They are a great Rock/folk/roots/gospel band from New York. I've seen them live 3 times in Halifax West Yorkshire and they are awesome. Check them out.

The Best live gig I've been to was Tina Turner live at Don Valley stadium Sheffield England in the 90's. The support acts were John Fogarty from Creedence Clearwater Revival and then Lionel Richie, and then Tina at her best! I've been to thousands of gigs since but nothing else beats it.
So what us your favourite artist/band and your favourite live performance?
I can't wait to YouTube all your faves.
A great gig at the Trades Club Hebden Bridge tonight starring Texan Songwriter Jarrod Dickensen and amazing support from Dillon Warnek

I can't for July! I've already got tickets to see Sir Tom. That's come full circle as my Mam got to know him in South Wales in the 50's before he was famous. Tom Scott & the Senators! (He's not my dad)
The week before I'm buying tickets to see Paul Weller, the Modfather!
And their both playing to Piecehall in Halifax! Local piazza built originally to sell cloth in! It's an awesome place to see music!

Cast were amazing last night in Leeds!
Well wortg the 2 year delay to their 25th anniversary tour!
Favorite artist is without a doubt Jason Isbell and the 400 though I have yet to see them live.
Best concert is probably Glen Hansard…that dude can put on a damn show!
I've heard of The Chats but I don't think I've actually heard their stuff. Thank you for the suggestion- I'll give em a listen!
"oasis but shit." That made me laugh :P I love The Kills. Their first album 'Keep On Your Mean Side' is a masterpiece. I tried to narrow it down to their 3 best songs on that album but it wasn't easy! But these are a good start:

'Start Me Up' is one of my favourites from the Stones! 'Play With Fire' is another great one. I'm also fond of 'Shine A Light', 'You Can't Always Get What You Want', 'Bitch' and 'Gimme Shelter'.
There's only one Jagger!
Has anyone here seen the Stones or Aerosmith?!
I can't get enough of the Stones!
Awesome thread- you weren't kidding when you said you were a music fan, Rob! I haven't listened to any of Wolfmother's latest albums but I remember how huge they were years ago. Them, and Jet. Wolfmother had a very distinctive hard rock style about them and it was refreshing to hear something like that in the 2000s when mainstream rock was almost non-existent in Australia. Thanks for all the suggestions, guys! I'm always looking for new music to listen to.
So you're a Stones fan?? Never actually got into them but Jagger would be fantastic to watch on stage! He's probably one of the greatest front-men of all time, and even if you weren't a fan, you'd totally buy tickets to their concert anyway!
Speaking of Viagra Boys, this is probably my favourite hit from them:
The clip cracks me up :P They even did a song with Amy Taylor from a local Melbourne band, Amyl and the Sniffers (coincidentally). Have you heard of them? The song is a cover of a classic John Prine song:
I love a solidly crap production, haha.
That's it- the Covers are hitting up the pubs and clubs when we can all get together. Ideally, to watch an Aerosmith gig. But i reckon we'd have fun at any concert!
And my favourite bands are... hmm... probably a tie between The Kills and E.L.O.
Hi mate
Like you've I've seen so many live bands it's really difficult to choose as it all depends on the setting, is it a small venue or stadium rock?
I guess the best or most memorable small gig was Public Image Ltd, great band and Lyndon legendary, and best big concert probably Chemical Brothers at Glastonbury 2000 or Prince at Wembley.
My favourite band? Impossible to say, but what Im listening to at the moment is:
Viagra Boys
HAAi
"I remember head banging, phone dropping alot of times and mosh pits." @Bendy Nguyen , that's poetry right there! Right that down!
Sounds like an incredible gig, Rob! I'm a big fan of Creedance- no one does it like John Fogerty. I was telling my dad recently that I would love to see him live, should he tour again, though I've never seen him live. And despite not being a Taylor Swift fan, I was completely blown away by her album Folklore. You deserve to hear her perform those songs live, Rachel!
Nothing feels more exclusive than being invited backstage by an artist! Fingers crossed you'll see Briston again soon. I used to attend heaps of gigs before the pandemic, but almost all of them were local Melbourne-based bands. My favourite local gig would be from a band called Ivy Streep who are incredible. I had a fantastic time. Their songs are great and really quite dynamic. This is one of my favourites:
Oh, I miss being an inner-city hipster in my early 20s...
But if you're talking bigger gigs, I did see AC/DC when I was a teen and that went off, as you can imagine. The attendees seemed really rough around the edges but were incredibly sweet people. I went with my father, so you could imagine how awkward it was when people started flashing on the big screen...
Nice! I haven’t been to many live music performances sadly, so I can easily say out of the two would be seeing The Wallows at the o2 in Brixton. In fact I walked away a bigger fan of the opening act who was Briston Maroney.
I love both acts vibe and Briston is a real nice guy, I got to have a few conversations with with him through Instagram and he was willing to let my girlfriend at the time and I go back stage to meet him when he was next due in London for his solo tour but then everything hit the fan.
I’ve seen plenty of theatre though if that counts? I recently saw Back to the Future the Musical at the Adelphi which just blew me away! So much so I wen back to see it a second time the following week! Also Corum Boy at the National was out of this world too!
I just checked the band out, must say, alot of passion in her voice.
And powerful messaging.
I must say, nowandays while not my favorite bands/artists,I remember Natewantstobattle to be most memorable.
He's goes by Nathan Sharp, however,he was so cool to meet in person.
During performance,he stop playing to check on a fan to see if they were cool.
Guess the fan didn't have a cool time and he wanted to make sure everybody was having fun.We all cheer, and him stopping to check on a fan, show how cool he was as a person.
In terms of bands,Our Last Night.
Although second performance, they actually were first band I went to.
I remember it was a band member birthday,so we sang happy birthday, and he did a stage dive.I always wonder how remarkable stage dive would be.
And their set was incredible.
I remember head banging, phone dropping alot of times and mosh pits.
Ingredients for a BADASS concert!!!!!!
My favourite artist of all time is Taylor Swift, no doubt about that. I haven't seen her live yet.
My favourite concert, however, would probably be McFly, Sheffiled Arena, 2007, maybe. Motion in the Ocean tour. I was maybe twelve and it was my first ever concert. Honestly, my throat and feet hurt for days afterwards. It was one of the best experiences, ever. I know, I know, McFly aren't exactly top of the charts these days but I was legit in love with them!
