Anime,television,movies,books,even concerts,theatre productions.
Literally, anything,as long as its an opening from mediums you love to consume.
This opening is just example of perfection,EPIC and stupendous.
I'm so proud i rented Sonic Unleash back in those blockbuster days, because: I FREAKING LOVE SONIC UNLEASHED.
Unfortunately,I've never finish it,however,it's mindblowing that this cinematic was even on the Nintendo Wii.
Feel free to update this thread as much as you like,as it would be cool to know amazing openings from literally anything you love.
Then,now and forever.
Oh man, been wanting to share these openings ever since I started this thread.
This game, while never play it,is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE OPENING OF ANY AMINE AND...maybe....GAME EVER. It is J-Pop so your probably not going to know the words, but man lol, this just SCREAMS EPIC. I love to play this game if I ever get the chance too. This to me would be an epic swan song for my gaming journey as this may also be my favorite cast of characters in tales of franchise.
Along with:
I did beat this game in what feels like a decade ago. As I mention, this cast maybe my favorite cast of characters and best battle system in the series is either this or another Tales of game.
Side note: I am playing a Tales of game right now and may report back my experience of this current game I'm playing through.
I remember when Stranger Things first came out… the title sequence was so epic! Everyone went mad for it!
The opening lines from 'The Stranger' by Albert Camus.
'Mother died today. Or maybe yesterday; I can't be sure.'
Film:
The opening scene to The Dark Knight is phenomenal. It creates so much tension about the Joker. Who is he? How crazy is he? And the heist scene is perfectly paced. Instantly hooks you.
Albums:
Cover Me Up from Jason Isbell’s Southeastern album is so good. Right out the gate it strips away any kind of pomp or flourish. It lets you know this is gonna be a raw, intimate experience. You’re probably gonna cry…but it’s gonna be a good cry.
Poetry:
The first poem in Taylor Mali‘s collection “Bouquet of Red Flags.” It’s called “Love Without Limit, Question, or Warning” And it just serves as the most perfect epigraph for the entire collection.
My last console RPG experience. Mind-blowing graphics, scores, even characters. And it was on a wii and wii u??????? While the first Xenoblade was on wii,I enjoy that version,as it look like a new modern final fantasy without being call final fantasy.
Its spiritual successor,Xenoblade Chronicles X,is my favorite one of the series. I never play direct sequel and
funny enough never finished both of these games. I just remember genuinely having more fun with Xenoblade Chronicles X than first game.
However, these openings are simply S TIER,and would love to revisit these marvelous games again.
They are extremely long games, however enjoy this back on the wii as its simply stupendous how this game made it on there.
Even the history of Xenoblade is quite fascinating.
Hi all! Here are some of my favourite openings:
(best opening credits to a film ever)

No one ever forgets the first time they played this game:

The Office (U.S) also has some of the best cold opens in U.S television history, such as this classic:

The epic ness was not what I expected in a mario game.
I believe this was my first 3D mario adventure and I love the idea of interacting with the world before the cutscene. Definitely gave this a dynamic twist on mario adventures.
Man do I miss my Nintendo Wii.
I need to ask this before I begin... who would win in a footrace between Sonic and The Flash?
Okay, now I will resume with my favorite opening.
So... maybe I'm just trolling you all here, but you have to admit, this tune is addictive. I bet none of you couldn't resist whistling or humming.
Now, back to our regular scheduled programing...
This is by far one of my favorites.
This film made it to my top 3 of last year.
And was riveting from beginning to end.

Title: Drive(2011)-opening credits scene-car chase
Give film a watch when you have a chance.
I found film to be a love letter to a simpler time.
How about this for an opening scene to a movie.
Favourite cold open from a TV show:
Also, I just started a book called The 100 Years of Lenni and Margot and I've only read the first chapter but it was amazing.
So the opening chapter of Harry Potter, I absolutely love.
And I hope it counts, The Hobbit (book I must stress) as the opening to middle earth.
Funnily enough those two books are the books I’ve read the most. I daren’t tell you just how many times I have or you might judge hahahaha!
